All building developments in Spain are called urbanisations. In the Nerja area there are some sixty such urbanisations. Casablanca is regarded as one of the best. It is in a very pleasant situation with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, the town, the sea and the mountains. It is well maintained, peaceful and quiet.

There are 38 houses of a modern pueblo design. There is a communal swimming pool, a plaza area with BBQ, and a petanque court. It is a six minute walk to the nearest beach and a 30 minute walk into town, either along the beach or through very pleasant countryside (mostly avocado groves). There are ten restaurants within easy walking distance.
